Thank you for dropping by to Radio Wivenhoe, the Voice of the Colne. We are on air between 7am and 11pm - 7 days a week.

We hope that you like the new website, unfortunately our old one was "highjacked" and so this one has been built with added security.

The downside is that we haven't been able to transfer over the people who registered on our old site, so you will need to re-register again.

60's to 80's Retro Disco 25th May

Jerry and Neil will be spinning "proper" records at a 60's to 80's Retro Disco at the Wivenhoe British Legion Club on Saturday 25th May from 7:30pm to 11:30pm. Tickets are only £5 each and the proceeds are going to the Wivenhoe branch of the British Legion.

which opens in two theatres in

Colchester this month (May)

The play, acclaimed by critics as a “theatrical gem.” is written and directed by Dan Sherer, Artistic Director of Real Circumstance Theatre Company, who is bringing the play back to his home town following its acclaim at Edinburgh and York.A poignant love story set in Wivenhoe, Our Share of Tomorrow is the first play written and directed by Dan Sherer – a one-time director at Wivenhoe Youth Theatre - who went on to train at RADA and under Mike Leigh at the National Theatre.In a new partnership with Colchester ’s Mercury Theatre, tickets are now on sale for Our Share of Tomorrow which will run for three nights, Tuesday 21 May, Wednesday 22 May and Thursday 23 May in the Mercury Theatre Studio. Tickets are also available now for a one-night production on Thursday 30 May at the University of Essex Lakeside Theatre.

The British Theatre Guide review describes Our Share of Tomorrow as: “Beautifully written, complex and humane…both uplifting and quite terribly sad.”

The play explores a young Wivenhoe couple’s emotional story of love and loss. The cast includes Jot Davies and Tamsin Joanna Kennard and Dan Sherer is returning from working in the US to direct the new tour production.
